Toronto — The Toronto Blue Jays roared back into contention on Tuesday night, crushing the Los Angeles Dodgers 9–3in Game 4 of the World Series to even the best-of-seven series at 2–2. The win, powered by a thunderous two-run homer from Vladimir Guerrero Jr., reignited Toronto’s hopes of capturing its first championship since 1993.

In front of a packed Rogers Centre crowd, Guerrero Jr. delivered a signature postseason moment in the third inning, launching a towering shot to left-center off Dodgers starter Walker Buehler. The home run not only gave the Blue Jays an early lead but also energized an offense that had been largely quiet through the first three games of the series.

“I just wanted to help the team win,” Guerrero Jr. said afterward. “We’ve been battling every inning, every pitch. This is what October baseball is all about.”

Toronto’s lineup finally broke through against the Dodgers’ pitching staff, combining for 14 hits, including multi-hit performances from Bo BichetteGeorge Springer, and Daulton Varsho. On the mound, José Berríos pitched six strong innings, limiting Los Angeles to two runs and striking out eight.

The Dodgers, meanwhile, looked uncharacteristically flat. Despite a solo home run from Mookie Betts, Los Angeles failed to generate consistent offense and left seven runners on base. Manager Dave Roberts acknowledged the team’s struggles, saying, “We’ve got to regroup. This is the World Series—you can’t afford to take a night off.”

With the series now even, momentum swings back to Los Angeles for Game 5, where the Dodgers will turn to Bobby Miller against Toronto ace Kevin Gausman.

For Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays, however, Game 4 was more than just a win—it was a statement.

“This team has heart,” said manager John Schneider. “They’ve heard the noise all year, but they keep showing up and proving they belong on this stage.”

The Blue Jays now sit just two wins away from baseball immortality—and with Guerrero Jr. swinging the bat like this, Toronto’s dream season is very much alive.
